Q. What is the difference between the QED P-CV and P75 cables?
Answer:
QED P-CV was a component video cable made using three precision 75 ohm
coax cables for low insertion loss. It provided a visible upgrade on
cheaper component video cables, but was also completely usable as an audio
interconnect where it provided a very low capacitance connection,
alongside superior electromagnetic screening. This is especially useful
in high impedance outputs such as an MM record player cartridge.
The
P75 was a similar design, but with a single 75 ohm coax, made especially for
S/PDIF between a CD player and a DAC. Again, it is able to be used as a
superior interconnect as above. The same cordage is used, in fact the
P-CV was originally called P75-YUV.
